Armored vehicle overturn on highway
Four people were injured in a traffic accident that occurred on Khalifa bin Salman Highway on Wednesday morning.
The mishap took place when a speeding driver rammed into an armored van, causing it to hit the metal divider and overturn.
The driver of the van, which belonged to a security company, and two fellow passengers suffered multiple injuries, while the other driver, who was apparently a Gulf national, sustained minor injuries. They were all taken to the hospital by ambulance for treatment.
Both cars were wrecked in the accident and traffic was congested on the vital highway.
General Directorate of Traffic personnel removed the overturned van using a winch and restored the flow of traffic.
No further details were available about the people involved in the mishap.
