We are proud of the Royal Guard heroes reaching summit of Everest: HH Shaikh Khalid

Royal Guard Special Force Commander His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa has congratulated His Majesty King Hamad, the Supreme Commander, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Prime Minister and Deputy Supreme Commander, and His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Royal Guard Commander, on Bahrain Royal Guard team's success in reaching the summit of Everest.

This honourable achievement would not have been possible without the interest and support of my father, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander, to the members of the Royal Guard to place the flag of the Kingdom of Bahrain on the highest mountain peaks in the world," he said.

HH Shaikh Khalid commended the special efforts exerted by HH Shaikh Nasser in supporting and following the team, turning the ambition of reaching the top of the world into reality.

"The Royal Guard heroes have demonstrated the determination and ability of Bahraini youth to lead and to accomplish distinguished achievements that enhance the Kingdom's international status in various fields," he said.

HH Shaikh Khalid hailed the efforts made by the Royal Guard team to reach the summit of Everest, armed with determination to overcome difficulties and to complete the outstanding achievement.
