Two medical scholarships for Bahrainis launched

Al Mabarrah Al Khalifia Foundation has announced the launch of two scholarships for a bachelor’s degree in medicine. It is part of the scholarships programme of the late His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, and the grant of the late Her Highness Shaikha Moza bint Hamad Al Khalifa, which is provided in cooperation with the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland – Medical University of Bahrain (RSCI).
Registration for the scholarship will commence from June 6 until June 19, 2021, via the foundation’s website www.mkfbh.org/rayaat Applicants interested in applying for the scholarship, must be a Bahraini national, a recent graduate, and have a GPA of 98% or more in high school specialised in science.
Students are selected after completing the application form via the aforementioned website and have fulfilled the eligibility criteria, which include academic achievement, personal interview, and volunteer work.
Previous students were selected based on academic excellence, interaction with society, and the development of their scientific and practical abilities.
Commenting on the scholarships, Her Highness Shaikha Zain bint Khalid Al Khalifa, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation, said: “It is our pleasure to announce the launch of two scholarships for the Bachelor in Medicine, in cooperation with the RSCI, to give Bahraini students the opportunity to study their desired major, under the umbrella of the Rayaat Scholarship Program, which in turn contributes towards providing the best educational opportunities for our youth to learn and gain knowledge, in order to create a conscious generation capable of elevating the Kingdom of Bahrain.”
“The HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa Scholarship programme, may God rest his soul, comes in commemoration of his memory, as being the first supporter of the foundation since its inception.” The Rayaat Scholarship program was launched in 2011 as a comprehensive approach to promote educational achievement and personal development.
