Five more restaurants in Bahrain closed for violating COVID health protocols

The Ministry of Health’s Public Health Department has ordered the closure of five more restaurants in different governorates after being found to have violated the COVID-19 health protocols.
It will remain closed for a week. The monitoring teams have also reported 53 restaurants that failed to follow the precautionary and preventive measures issued by the ministry to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
Necessary procedures are taken to refer their cases to the legal authorities in coordination with the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, and the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority.
Inspection visits
Inspection visits to 163 restaurants and cafes on the third day of Eid Al Fitr were carried out by teams from the Public Health Department of the Ministry of Food Control Department in cooperation with the Interior Ministry and the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism represented by the Inspection Department.
The Health Ministry will continue its field visits with the competent regulatory authorities to intensify their supervision during the holiday period.
