Bahrain record highest single day cases with 2,858 new infections

Out of 18,201 COVID-19 tests carried out on 21 May 2021, 2858 new cases have been detected among 957 expatriate workers, 1882 new cases are contacts of active cases, and 19 travel related.
There were 1560 recoveries, increasing total recoveries to 191,522.
Four expats, nine Bahraini men and one Bahraini woman died yesterday, taking the death toll to 794. No information was provided if they suffered any preexisting medical conditions.
There are currently 198 cases in a critical condition, and 349 cases receiving treatment. 19,637 are stable out of a total of 19,835 active cases.
