Daily Covid infections in Bahrain cross 3000

The number of daily Covid-19 cases in Bahrain hit a new high of 3,177 yesterday, as well as 1,548 recoveries and 11 fatalities. Nine Bahrainis, five men, aged 61, 62, 80, 87 and 90 and four women, 50, 52, 73 and 81 died yesterday, bringing the total death to 820.
Two expats men, 34 and 78 also died of coronavirus.
Of the new cases, 1,071 were expat workers, 2,099 contacts of local cases and seven travel-related.
An additional 1,548 people recovered, taking the total recoveries to 194,885.
Of the 22,342 active cases, 362 are receiving treatment and 186 in critical condition.
Bahrain has so far registered a total of 218,047 cases. Bahrain has conducted 4,489,530 virus tests.
