Bahrain King, Crown Prince and Prime Minister invited to G20 Interfaith Forum in Italy

His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, received the invitations addressed to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for Bahrain's participation in the 2021 G20 Interfaith Forum to be held on September 12-14 in Bologna, Italy.

The invitations were conveyed by Dr Alberto Melloni, Director of the John XXIII Foundation for Religious Studies in Bologna (Fscire) and Holder of the UNESCO Chair on Religious Pluralism and Peace as he was received by HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak.

The Deputy Prime Minister hailed Dr Melloni's visit and hailed the amicable relations between Bahrain and Italy.

HH Shaikh Mohammed stressed Bahrain's belief in promoting religious freedoms and the values of tolerance, mutual respect and co-existence among societies and in light of the wise vision of HM the King.

Dr Melloni expressed his happiness to visit Bahrain and praised its positions in support of the values of tolerance, religious pluralism and peace among countries and peoples, wishing the Kingdom further progress, prosperity and development under its wise leadership.

Italy's Ambassador to Bahrain Paola Amadei attended the meeting.
