Home awaits Indian man after travel ban is lifted

A collective sigh of relief for the Indian Community as sick patient Kalai Pandian Kalimuthu, who is held in the Kingdom of Bahrain for many years due to a travel ban, is now allowed to leave the country. With all pending cases removed, the 50-year-old Indian man can travel back home anytime soon.
Kalai has a known history of epilepsy. He met an accident falling from the third floor of a building at work and was admitted to hospital.
He was unconscious from the time of the accident.
Kalai, who is residing in Budaiya, was previously working with Al Kobaisi Group. Doctors at the Salmaniya Medical Complex (SMC) has issued a clean bill of health declaring Kalai fit to travel by air with a non-medical escort. Sikh Gurudwara team is providing accommodation for him until he leaves the country.
Also providing whole-hearted support and timely intervention to clear his case was Indian Ambassador to Bahrain Piyush Shrivastava and his team, which include Shri. Ravi Shankar Shukla, Second Secretary, Priyanka Mam, Cons Attachee, Suren Lal from Labor Section, Immigration authorities Nayef Al Sherooqi (Director of Human Resources & Finance), Captian Yousuf Jamal, Acting Head of Public Relations & Media, and his team, Salmaniya Hospital authorities, Aruldas & ICRF Team and Tamil Community.
