Bahrain's Health Ministry shut down two of eight inspected beauty parlours due to the presence of COVID-19 cases among the employees.
The Public Health Directorate referred the beauty parlours to competent legal authorities for violating the mandatory precautionary measures for combating the pandemic.
The outlets were disinfected and preventive measures were taken.
The health inspectors also shut down a massage centre for men due to the presence of a positive case among the employees.
The Food Control Section at the Public Health Directorate conducted 80 inspection visits and took action against 14 restaurants that were found in breach of the mandatory precautionary measures for combating COVID-19.
The clampdown was carried out in coordination with the Ministry of Interior and the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA).
