Roads for Isa Town and Hamad town, health centre renovation, HD News Studio and more

Works ministry is improving the road network at Isa Town block 807, a tender board document said. The ministry also said it plans to complete the works in 42 weeks. A tender launched for the purpose, the board said, attracted huge interest.

The board opened 19 bids ranging from BHD 401,171.782 to BHD 787,952.038 for the work.

InterLock Maintenance Construction emerged as the lowest bidder. Works include reconstruction, asphalt overlay, block paving, stormwater drainage, street lighting and safety measures.

The development came as the Tender Board, an independent regulatory authority, opened 102 bids for 13 tenders placed by seven administrative bodies in the Kingdom.

Besides Isa Town, the Works Ministry is developing parking lots and internal roads in Souq Waqif in Complex 1203 in Hamad Town. Works, scheduled to complete in 20 weeks, also attracted huge interest.

The Tender board announced opening 19 bids for the project ranging from BHD 253,276.191 to BHD 2,977,792.427. The lowest quote, according to tender board documents, was from Down Town Construction Company.

The Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning is also awarding a one year contract for supply, installation, testing and commissioning of power compensation equipment at 12 TSE pumping stations. The tender received three bids, with CelleMec’s quote of BHD 76,743.500 emerging as the lowest.

Wastewater treatment

The Works Ministry further said it is looking for a contractor to provide continuous, cost-effective, and efficient treatment of wastewater delivered to the Tertiary Treatment Plant at Tubli wastewater treatment plant.

A successful contractor should carry out the cleaning services 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The three-year contract, the tender board said, found three bidders. BHD 300,648.000 quoted by MC6 Industrial Services emerged as the lowest bidding amount.

Renovation of health centres

The Ministry of Health said it is renovating Sheikh Jaber Al-Sabah Health Centre and Nursing Department at Al-Hoora Health Centre. Sheikh Jaber centre, the ministry said, needs more consultation and medical room and other improvement works.

The tender board said 11 parties came forward to take up the works, with their bids ranging between BHD 33,758.329 and BHD 64,567.913.

Arab Concepts Construction made the lowest quote. Eight parties also showed their interest in taking up the renovation of the Nursing Department at Al-Hoora Health Centre. From them, Altinah Building Contracting emerged as the lowest bidder with a quote of BHD 60,430.230.

Upgrading HD TV news studio

The Ministry of Information Affairs said it is upgrading its new HD TV news studio by installing new lighting systems. The studio, with a floor area of 345 square meters, is for news and other productions.

The tender received seven bids, with Almoayyed Trading & Contracting making the lowest quote of BHD 335,790.000.

EWA meter readings

The Electricity and Water Authority said it is looking forward to a contractor to take electricity and water meters readings all over the Kingdom for two years.

The Tender board announced receiving 12 bids for the work ranging from BHD 869,400.000 and BHD 2,318,400.000. The bids of NBA construction and MC6 Industrial services matched the lowest quote.

Upgrading Arad Bay walkway

Meanwhile, a tender by the Supreme Council for the Environment said it is installing a rubber liner on the Arad Bay Walkway. Five bids received ranged between BHD 103,950.000 and BHD 248,724.000.

Gulf Fencing & Specialist Surfacing made the highest and lowest bids.

The southern municipality is seeking investors for its property in Block 901. The property, the municipality said, is open for leasing and investing for private sector companies for 20 years.

The area up for rent is 241.9 square meters, the municipality said. Among the incentive, benefits is a grace period of one year. Interested investors can place their bids through the tender board.

A tender launched by the municipality calls for an initial bond of BD1,000 to take part in the proceedings. The closing date for the tender is 30 June 2021.

Gulf Air said it is looking forward to buying computers with a three-year warranty and on-site support for two years. The tender, which opened on Sunday, closes on 16th next month. The initial bond for the tender is BD2,500.

The Ministry of Education is doing maintenance and repair of window and split Air conditioning units at its schools and directorates. The works include replacing spare parts and AC units of all sizes and capacities.

The tender published on Thursday closes on the 13th of next month. This tender requires an initial bond of BD4,000.

Bahrain International Circuit plans to construct a new toilet facility behind the existing Marshals hanger. The toilets for both genders is inside the premises of BIC. A tender opened on Thursday closes on the ninth of next month.

Entry to bids opening hall restricted: Tender board

The tender board will allow entry to its bids opening hall at Arcapital to individuals only after presenting vaccination proof on the BeAware Bahrain application. The new decision remains valid from 21 May to 3 June 2021.
