Nasser bin Hamad leadership programme invites applicants

Nasser Bin Hamad Foundation (NBHF) launched the second in series of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa Leadership Programmes for aspiring young leaders in Bahrain.

It will be held under the patronage of Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

The four-day programme will start on January 4 next year. Twenty-four Bahraini nationals will be given the opportunity develop the key skills and knowledge to better lead themselves, their organisations and Bahraini Society.

There will be a particular focus on building competence in self-awareness, communication skills, problem solving, strategic thinking and personal authenticity.

It will be a challenging programme, requiring participants’ total commitment, high levels of openness and a willingness to discover strengths and acceptance of areas for improvement.

It will be engaging, interactive, experiential and will be run in English.

"The program has really helped me in many ways by giving me a much needed push and motivation to move forward," said a student who attended the first programme that concluded in March.

The programme is being run in partnership with Yela! – A leading global provider of inspiring learning experiences. It is open to Bahraini nationals aged 22-30 with a desire to learn and make a positive difference.

Successful applicants will have to attend the whole programme, including staying in the hotel accommodation each night.

Applications close on Saturday, October 31. Shortlisted applicants will be notified by November 8, to attend interviews between November 17-19. Following the interviews, successful participants will be notified by November 23.
