Economic integration and food security on top of BCCI's agenda at Dubai meet

A delegation of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) led by its chairman Sameer Nass is participating in the 131st board meeting of the Union of Arab Chambers and the 55th meeting of the Federation of GCC Chambers in Dubai from today to Wednesday.
The delegation, which also comprises BCCI's first vice-chairman Khalid Najibi and Chief Executive Officer Shaker Al Shater will also participate in a special meeting with GCC's Secretary-General HE Dr Nayef Al Hajraf and to convene the Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce.
Mr Nass, who is also chairman of the Federation of GCC Chambers, underlined the importance of consolidating effort with Chambers in the region, particularly in light of the challenges curbing the economic development in the region in the aftermath of the Coronavirus pandemic.
Mr Nass stressed that food security is a common goal for countries in the region and is on top of the agenda.
He also revealed that the meetings will deliberate about streamlining and expediting the economic integration of the GCC member states.
