Bahrain police calls for full adherence to protocols for beating Covid-19

Continue adhering to the instructions of the National Taskforce for Combatting the COVID-19 pandemic, as it is crucial for Bahrain in winning the COVID-19 battle, stressed Police directorates and security departments all over the Kingdom yesterday.
“It is the national duty of every individual in the Kingdom to obey the COVID-19 preventive measures to help protect the society,” the statement said.
The authorities, the statement said, are also taking stringent actions against all those caught violating COVID-19 precautionary measures.
Since June 9, police officers had booked 85,773 people for not wearing face masks in public places and pressed charges against 9,974 people for not maintaining social distancing measures.
Officers also carried out 11,655 awareness campaigns to help citizens and residents fight the pandemic. Meanwhile, the National Ambulance centre responded to 16,690 COVID-19 cases by forming a team since the outbreak began.
The centre also transferred 101,952 COVID-19 cases during this period.
The General Administration of Civil Defence carried out 323,064 disinfection and sterilisation operations and trained 2,238 people.
Since March last year, Civil Defence also trained 6,134 volunteers and carried out 2,283 disinfection and sterilisation operations with their help.
The Civil Defence authority also carried out 107 disinfection and sterilisation operations through cleaning companies.
Police officers, the statement said, are also patrolling the streets, both on vehicles and foot, to ensure COVID-19 procedures and the closure of all stores that provide goods and services directly to the public.
