The Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF) has launched its summer programme for its sponsored families. This year’s RHF’s summer programme is in accordance with the precautionary measures to combat the coronavirus (COVID-19) and strikes a balance between the educational and training requirements and the necessary infrastructure.

The beneficiary mothers and children have been trained on using the relevant social networks so that they benefit from the remote programme. RHF’s Secretary-General Dr Mustafa Al Sayed said that the annual summer programme is within the social care provided by the RHF for its affiliate families, adding that the RHF has continued delivering all its services since the spread of the pandemic amid strict precautionary measures to ensure the safety of everyone.

He highlighted the RHF’s belief in the importance of providing the necessary conditions for members of its sponsored families to acquire skills and develop themselves, noting that this year’s two-month programme features varied sessions, workshops and activities that cater to the needs of children, youth and mothers.

Director of Charity Resources Development and Coordinator-General of Government and Official Affairs, Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, said that the idea of the summer programme is based on a competition aimed at cementing cohesion among the members of the same family.

Head of Programmes and Activities Department at the RHF, Alaa Bodlamah, affirmed the Foundation’s keenness to implement creative and developmental programmes to enhance the talent and skills of children.
