Bahrain Medical Society (BMS) expressed its appreciation, honour and gratitude to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for his directives to grant frontliners two exceptional steps in their professional scales. The Society called for extending this grant to include all healthcare workers, Bahrainis and others.
It said that all have been working together as one team since February 2020 to fight COVID-19, adding that even some lost their lives while doing their job during this pandemic.
The president of Bahrain Medical Society, Dr Ghada Al Qassim, said that this gesture, reflects HRH Prince Salman’s great support, care and trust in all healthcare workers who work so hard and are dedicated in their work throughout.
“Bahrain Medical Society is dedicated to work under the directives of His Highness by dedicating the best scientific, professional and ethical practices from the doctors in the Kingdom, who play their role to the best of their abilities in providing treatment to their patients as dictated by their responsibility and loyalty to their leadership and their homeland,” Dr Al Qassim said.
Dr Al Qassim stated that HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister personally supervises Bahrain’s battle against the pandemic and provides all the necessary requirements to treat and eradicate COVID-19.
This has made the Bahraini model an example to be followed globally, which attracted the attention of the world, including WHO. “We are proud of Bahrain’s healthcare workers and the whole medical sector who have proven their capabilities and potential at all times in providing the best care to all patients, locals or non- and COVID-related,” Dr Al Qassim concluded.
