BD96,000 worth narcotics seized, eight held

The Narcotics Control Department of Bahrain yesterday seized drugs worth BD 96,000 in a major operation that also resulted in the arrest of a gang of eight.
All of the men involved in the gang are Asians by nationality, and the seizure consisted of around one kilogram of shabu, said a statement.
The suspects are all aged between 19 and 42 years, said the officials announcing the bust. Officers said they trapped the gang members based on a tip-off received.
An ensuing investigation resulted in identifying the gang members and their arrest. The Public Prosecution is taking necessary legal actions.
