Trio held for failed bomb attack

Three men attempted to detonate a bomb in a highway, according to court reports.

The trio placed the explosive in Budaiya Highway, but it didn't go off. They were eventually arrested following police investigations, and the one of the trio told prosecutors that he was communicating on the phone with people with links to terrorist groups.

He said that he was asked to obtain SIM cards using identities of Asian labourers, but he got them under his name instead.

The defendant left the explosive initially beside a mosque in the village of Sehla, and capture a picture for it.

The trio placed bomb on April 28 this year. They have been charged with possessing a bomb and constructing explosives.
