Traffic diversion announced in Adliya
Acting Roads Assistant Undersecretary at the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Kadhim Abdullatif informed that the Ministry had recently changed traffic direction along Yousef Al Shirawi Avenue and Road 3825 in Adliya into one-way traffic from North to South and West to East consecutively.
The change in traffic has been made in collaboration with the Traffic General Directorate based on traffic studies and surveys conducted by the Ministry earlier. The move is aimed to solve traffic congestions on the roads network in Adliya. Abdul Latif explained that traffic signs indicating the new change had been installed.
The new change in traffic will ease traffic congestion in the area, increase the capacity of the roads, reduce waiting time and increase the number of parking spaces. The changes are considered to be stage 2 of the work, as the Ministry previously changed traffic directions on all roads in the block.
