His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa pledged yesterday to continue investing in Bahrain’s youth development initiatives to encourage innovation, creative thinking and boost Bahrain’s development drive.

“This would help Bahrain continue on its development path and attain the desired progress in all areas in line with the sustainable development goals,” said the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

“Investing in youth initiatives will open up quality opportunities and new horizons for Bahraini youth to achieve their goals and support the development drive of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa,” added HRH Prince Salman.

His Royal Highness was speaking during a virtual session with the winners of the twenty-second batch of the Crown Prince’s International Scholarship Programme.

Shaikh Mohammed bin Essa Al Khalifa, the Advisor for Political and Economic Affairs at the Court of the Crown Prince and Head of the Financial and Administrative Committee of the CPISP, and members of the Board of Directors of the Scholarship Programme were present.

Congratulating the students on their selection to this year programme, His Royal Highness praised them for passing the assessment tests with flying colours.

The Crown Prince and Prime Minister highlighted the success achieved by the programme, since its inception, in empowering young people, refining their skills, and helping them attain top positions in serving the nation.

This year’s programme had 358 Bahraini applicants who underwent a comprehensive assessment test to determine their eligibility.

The evaluation process also considered their Grade Point Average, IELTS score, SAT score, leadership training, and a critical thinking course by the CPISP as part of the candidacy training.
