Bahrain to get five new artificial turf football grounds

Seven companies had registered their interest in constructing football grounds with artificial turf in the Kingdom. The new 40m×20m Artificial grass football fields will be coming up in Al – Dair Club, Nuwaydirat Club, Bahrain Club, Al-Qadisiya Youth Center and Tubli Club.
The tender board said it received bids ranging between BHD 249,480.000 and BHD 539,470.615 from seven companies for taking up the work. According to the tender board document, Gulf Fencing & Specialist Surfacing made the lowest quote.
Sarab Contracting, Fast and Safe Maintenance Services, Saraya Contractors, Almoayyed Landscapes and Pools are amongst the other bidders. The development came as the Tender and Auction Board, the independent regulatory body tasked with supervising government bidding and bidding practices, opened 45 bids for nine tenders and one auction by eight governmental authorities.
Housing ministry demolishing apartments
Another tender by the Ministry of Housing for demolishing old apartment buildings in various locations received nine bids. The buildings marked for demolition are three to four storeys high.
The housing ministry is yet to disclose the locations of the buildings. Almoayyed Almukhaimer Construction, AlDoor Excavation & Building Contracting, yzayani trading& contracting are amongst the bidders.
The bids they made ranged between BHD 78,067.500 and BHD 733,513.316. The lowest bidder was AlDoor Excavation & Building Contracting
