HM King receives flood of congratulations for being awarded honorary doctorate from Moscow State University for International Relations

More congratulatory messages poured in for His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa following the decision of the Board of Trustees of the Moscow State University for International Relations to award him an honorary doctorate, in recognition of his noble role in promoting peaceful co-existence, and dialogue among various religions and cultures.

Deputy Prime Ministers His Highness Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa and Jawad bin Salem Al Arayyedh expressed the deepest pride at the global recognition, hailing HM the King’s contributions and pioneering initiatives that embody the values and principles of peaceful coexistence and dialogue between religions and cultures.

Russian praise

HM the King also received a congratulation cable from the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences (RANS) Board of Directors’ Vice Chairman Professor Isaac Gehman.

The professor praised the vision of HM the King regarding the declaration of the “Ibrahim Principles” for interfaith coexistence, which is a path to peace and economic prosperity in the region and the world. He also pointed out that the RANS had previously awarded HM the King the first-degree Grand Star Award two years ago, on behalf of the academy’s scholars from different countries of the world in appreciation of HM’s efforts and keenness to develop various fields of science and technology and his great role in strengthening relations between the two countries.
