US Embassy holds Business Development Workshops for young women

US Embassy, Manama and the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs announced a programme for young females to become entrepreneurs and early-stage business owners.
The programme, facilitated by the Bahrain Entrepreneurship Organisation, began on July 5th.
Commenting, US Embassy Chargé d’Affaires Ethan Goldrich said, “The achievements of Bahraini female entrepreneurs are remarkable and contribute directly to the growth and development of the economy.
We are delighted to see young females become entrepreneurs taking the initiative to further develop their entrepreneurial skills amid difficult circumstances created by the COVID-19 pandemic.” Participants will learn innovative ideas and skills which they can apply in real-time to their entrepreneurial endeavours.
The course, which contains 13 sessions, including speaking engagements from Bahraini business leaders, will be a mixture of online and in-person attendance. The programme will conclude with a vendor fair for the top three participants who will receive a small seed fund to support their entrepreneurial journey.
