Al Jazzayer Beach children’s park soon to get a facelift

The Al Jazzayer Beach, which was once a loved leisure venue and tourist location, had lost its sheen due to the hapless condition of the playing equipment, including rusted play equipment and protruding iron parts. However, the place is soon to get a major facelift, with an aim to retrieve its lost glory.

The beach, located 5 kilometers south-west of the Bahrain International Circuit, will be upgraded with more facilities including additional opportunities, leisure activities, sustainable retail shops, and innovative facilities and services, according the  Bahrain Real Estate Investment (Edamah), which has taken up the facelift project.

A visitor, Abudullah Al Ahmed told DT News, “We love this beach because of its calm and peaceful surroundings.  But, lately we don’t encourage our children to come here and as the equipment were rusted.”

“ But we are seeing renovation works these days.  So it is good news that in the near future, we will be able to visit the beach with more facilities. As of now, the poor condition of the play area such as the swing set, slide and monkey bars invite danger to our children. We are hoping the renovations completes soon,” he added.

Edamah officials said, “We are currently redeveloping Al Jazzayer beach. The redevelopment plan is part of Edamah’s larger investment strategy to upgrade and improve facilities, providing an economic boost to the area.”

“A comprehensive maintenance programme is being carried out, which includes the restoration of old playground equipment. The renovation works have already commenced and should be completed in a few months,” the official said.
