Salmaniya Medical Complex, Bahrain premier healthcare facility, is continuing to build on its capabilities, this time with new operation theatres, amid efforts to stamp down the pandemic.
According to a tender document, SMC will add four operation theatres to it with all medical equipment and accessories by converting ward 205 of the complex.
Plans also include converting anaesthesia offices to a recovery room and preparing the rooms in ward 205 to anaesthesia offices. The tender is for finding a suitable contractor to complete the works.
Those interested should make their bids before September 2021 by enclosing BD4,000 as bond and BD100 as tender fees. The initial bond should be in the form of a Certified Cheque, Bank Guarantee, Insurance Policy or Cash (or as specified in the Tender Documents).
The current tender also follows a series of tenders issued this year for multiple expansion works for the Accident and Emergency and maternity departments.
Micro, small and medium enterprises are eligible to obtain 10% preference in the financial evaluation stage when submitting the “SMEs Classification Certificate” during bidding for this tender.
