Bahrain lawmakers play key role in progress

Foreign Affairs Minister Dr Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani praised the relentless efforts the Council of Representatives and its members made in advancing the comprehensive development process in the Kingdom of Bahrain in its various fields.

This came as Dr Al Zayani received yesterday members of the Representatives Council, MPs Ahmed Al Ansari, Abdul Razzaq Hattab and Muhammad Bu Hammoud.

During the meeting, the Minister also commended the existing cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Council of Representatives to enhance the role of parliamentary diplomacy in the international arena.

It is reflected in the Parliamentary Diplomacy Programme in cooperation between the Council and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through the Mohammed bin Mubarak Academy for Diplomatic Studies.

He noted the importance of continuing joint coordination for the benefit of the country and citizens, wishing the MPs continued success.

The lawmakers expressed their appreciation towards the Ministry for its tangible interest in strengthening cooperation with the Council of Representatives, expressing thanks for what has been accomplished in this field.

They also commended the efforts undertaken by the Ministry to enhance bilateral cooperation with friendly countries, expressing pride in the work of Bahrain’s embassies abroad and the efforts they exert to promote the interests of the Kingdom abroad and provide support and care to provide support and care its citizens.

They further commended the efforts made by the Ministry and the Kingdom’s embassies abroad to implement His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to vaccinate Bahraini citizens residing abroad against COVID-19.

The meeting was also attended by the Undersecretary for Consular and Administrative Affairs, Ambassador Tawfeeq Ahmed Al Mansoor, and the Chief of Legal Affairs, Ambassador Mohamed Abdulrahman Alhaidan.
