Bahrain-Saudi ties developing: HRH PM
The relations between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia are increasingly developing and becoming more powerful, thanks to the common interests of the two countries under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, stated Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa in an interview with Saudi Al-Riyadh newspaper.
“Our ancestors were keen to nurture and build upon these relations, and we have in turn inherited
all of their interdependence and cohesion,” the PM said.
On the current situation of Arab region, the Premier said it is fighting the battle of the destiny and witnessing grave events. “To save it from the threats, it needs to deal wisely with the emerging events, putting the interests of the Arabs as the driving engine for Arab action,” Prince Khalifa stated.
Responding to a question about his vision on the reality and future of the GCC joint action, the Prime Minister stressed that the current stage requires collective efforts and work for lasting stability.
“We are passing through a
delicate time that requires more coordination. The leaders of the GCC countries should intensify their meetings under the GCC joint action,” Prince Khalifa said.
The Prime Minister also firmly backed the Saudi Arabia- led coalition’s “Operation Decisive Storm,” launched to protect the brotherly nation of Yemen.
When asked about local affairs, the Premier said Bahrain is a country that renounces hatred and division. HRH PM stressed that the successes achieved by Bahrain in the field of economics and other areas, are a translation of a shared and collective effort of all citizens.
