Police arrest man for selling intoxicants in Muharraq

A 35-year-old man is in the dock for allegedly selling intoxicating substances in the Muharraq Governorate. The suspect, an Asian national, the Muharraq Governorate Police Directorate said, was arrested for selling banned substances in his car in the governorate. The man’s activities came to the notice of the police following a tip-off.
Police said they soon launched an investigation into the information received, resulting in the identification and arrest of the suspect. Cops also seized banned substances from the suspect’s possession. The Public Prosecution is pursuing legal measures.
