Israel hails Bahrain key role for peace

Israel and Tunisia leaders hailed Bahrain’s important role in the regional peace process and the Kingdom’s own progress and development. Israel President Isaac Herzog praised Bahrain’s wise leadership for establishing peace and stability in the Middle East.

He also lauded the Bahraini experience in coexistence and tolerance among all religions and beliefs, wishing the country further prosperity.

Herzog made the remarks as he received yesterday the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, Ambassador Dr Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, during his official visit to Tel Aviv. The Israeli leader affirmed that this visit would enhance the growing partnership between the two countries.

Dr Shaikh Abdulla conveyed to the Israeli President greetings from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The Undersecretary stressed that peace is the Kingdom’s strategic option for prosperity and stability in the region and the world.

He also noted the mutual keenness between both countries to enhance bilateral cooperation. Other issues of mutual interest were also reviewed during the meeting.

Development process

Tunisia President Kais Saied praised the development process of Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad.

This came as President Saied received at the Presidential Palace yesterday Foreign Affairs Minister Dr Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani. The Minister conveyed to the Tunisian leader greetings and good wishes from HM the King and HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, as well as their wishes of security, stability, and prosperity to the Tunisian people.

Saied conveyed his warm greetings to His Majesty the King and his wishes for a prosperous Bahrain, thanking the notable position of the Kingdom in supporting Tunisia during the current circumstances.

He further noted that the Kingdom’s Constitution stipulates the importance of peace and human dignity, thus mirroring the humane aspect of the Constitution and making it such a distinguished rich constitutional experience. He further praised the cultural significance of the Kingdom thanks to its geographical location and ancient civilisations.

Dr Al Zayani conveyed to the Tunisian President His Majesty’s affirmation that Bahrain stands in solidarity with Tunisian and supports its efforts to overcome the current political, health, and economic conditions to achieve security, stability, and prosperity. The Foreign Minister underscored that the Kingdom trusts that both the President and Tunisia can overcome this situation.

He also stressed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s respect for Tunisia’s internal affairs, adding that this is a matter of sovereignty in which nobody can interfere.
