‘Bahrain is model of coexistence and tolerance society’

The far-sighted vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has turned the Kingdom of Bahrain into a model of humanitarian state and society of coexistence and tolerance, said Council of Representatives Speaker Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal.

The Speaker paid tribute to HM the King as Bahrain joins the other nations in in marking the UN World Humanitarian Day today under the theme “#TheHumanRace”.

She reiterated Bahrain’s commitment to the principles of human rights, which represent the cornerstone of the comprehensive development march.

She commended the efforts of the Government, chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, hailing his leadership of Team Bahrain to combat the coronavirus (COVID-19) and protect the health and safety of all citizens and residents without exception.

The Speaker praised the lofty role played by the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF), chaired by HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

She reiterated the keenness of the Council of Representatives to develop legislations in the field of humanitarian work, lauding institutions, enterprises and societies that serve the community through legal charity and humanitarian works.

Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh extended sincere congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad on World Humanitarian Day. He took pride in the Kingdom’s humanitarian initiatives, under the leadership of HM the King, which show solidarity with brotherly and friendly countries.

The Shura Council Chairman commended the ongoing efforts of the government to promote the humanitarian approach embraced by the Kingdom.

He also praised HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s unlimited support to the national efforts in combating the COVID-19 and providing top-level healthcare services for citizens and residents alike.

Al Saleh lauded the contributions of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister in the humanitarian work field, wishing him every success in achieving the aspirations of HM the King. The Shura chief congratulated HH Shaikh Nasser praising his tremendous efforts in the humanitarian work field.
