Bahrain is further strengthening its battle against the deadly COVID-19 pandemic by opening vaccination for kids as young as three years of age.

Health Ministry yesterday said that registration is open for kids aged between 3 to 11 years of age, who suffer diseases that cause weak immunity, and all in the 12 to 17 age group.

Besides, the Kingdom is also extending booster doses to those who passed at least six months after taking the second dose of Pfizer-BioNTech and AstraZeneca (Covishield) jabs.

Sinopharms for 3 to 11-year-old kids

As per yesterday’s decision, Sinopharm vaccine registration is now open for children between 3 and 11 years of age and suffering from diseases that weaken their immunity.

Health ministry considers children with respiratory diseases, heart diseases, diabetes, cancerous tumours, down syndrome, birth defects, and obesity, are having weak immunity.

Meaning, kids in the 3 to 11 age group, having any of these conditions, will receive Sinopharm jabs. To get the vaccine, register through the website: ‘healthalert.gov.bh’.
