King Hamad receives 13 new Ambassadors’ credentials

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa yesterday received the credentials of 13 new Ambassadors accredited to the Kingdom of Bahrain, during a ceremony held at Al Sakhir Palace.

The new diplomats are: Vakhatang Jaoshvili (Georgia), Sisonxay Ngaovongsi (Laos), Vu Viet Dung (Vietnam), Anibal Gomez Toledo (Mexico), Marianne Nissila (Finland), Wong Chow Ming (Singapore), Showkutally Soodhun (Mauritius), Sidi Aly Sidi Ali (Mauritania), Patrick Simonnet (European Union), Laurens Westhoff (The Netherlands), Mohammed Khalild (Maldives), Francisco Mauro Brasil de Holanda (Brazil) and Hun Han (Cambodia).

HM the King delivered a speech in which he welcomed the new Ambassadors, expressing Bahrain’s pride in its distinguished relations with their countries.

He wished them success in their diplomatic duties, stressing keenness on providing them with all support to achieve further rapprochement and bolster cooperation.

HM the King tasked the Ambassadors to convey his personal greetings to their countries’ leaders and wished them every success in their diplomatic duties.

The ceremony was attended by HH the Deputy Prime Minister, HM the King’s Personal Representative, HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, the Royal Court Minister and Royal Protocols Chief.

The Ambassadors were received by the Royal Protocols Chief upon their arrival at the Al Sakhir Palace. The national anthem was played at the end of the ceremony.
