Gulf Air’s first evacuation flight to US arrives

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the arrival of the first evacuation flight through the national carrier Gulf Air to the US, as part of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s efforts alongside its international partners to help in the humanitarian and relief works in Afghanistan.
The Ambassador of Bahrain to the US, Shaikh Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalifa, expressed his pride in the Kingdom’s role and commitment to support international humanitarian efforts, reflecting the approach of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa with the continuous follow-up of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
The Ambassador stressed that the Kingdom appreciates the supporting stances of international partners, especially the US, in the process of providing relief to Afghanistan.
He also praised the participation of Gulf Air in the process, making it the first commercial airline in the world to arrive in the US as part of the evacuation effort in Afghanistan.
