Bahrain’s yellow ducks to reach more locations

The Duck buses have already made a splash in Bahrain with its unique land and sea adventure. Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority, which backs the project, is now spicing up the amphibious journey by adding more destinations.
BTEA said it is looking forward to adding one more location to its amphibious tour trip, for which it has launched a tender to build a new slipway. BTEA has not disclosed the exact location.
The slip, the tender description says, should be four - meter wide and made with precast concrete.
Launched during the Eid Al Fitr holiday, the amphibious bus journey turned out as an instant hit by capturing the imagination of many, especially families and children.
The bus currently offers a one-hour journey for BD5. Two daily trips, one at 10.00 am and another at 4.00 pm. The trip covers 7km on land and 2.5 km through the sea.
The journey starts from the King Faisal Corniche, passing through Manama Port, Reef Island and the area surrounding the Financial Harbor building to start the road trip.
The road trip begins from the Seef area and passes through Khalifa Bin Salman Street towards the Financial Harbor, then go back to the King Faisal Corniche. If interested in taking up the project, make bids before the 9th of September 2021, with a BD500 bond and BD15 fee.
BTEA has also launched another tender to fix advertise ments on top of the bus and inside the bus.
The tender is for installing premium quality IP waterproof multiuse digital screens. Make bids before the 7th of September 2021, with a BD500 bond and BD15 fee.
