HM King hails growing Bahrain-India relations

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa praised the growing Bahrain-India bilateral relations and cooperation in various fields as he received Indian Minister of State for External Affairs, V. Muraleedharan, at Sakhir Palace yesterday.

HM the King described them as deep-rooted and based on solid foundations of common history and mutual interests.

On the occasion of his visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Minister Muraleedharan conveyed to His Majesty the greetings of Indian President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and their best wishes of further growth and prosperity to the Bahraini people.

HM the King asked the Indian Minister to convey his greetings to the Indian leaders, and his best wishes of continuous development to the Indian people.

HM the King commended the efforts of the Indian community in Bahrain’s development march, stressing that they are respected by the Bahraini people.

Minister Muraleedharan expressed happiness about visiting Bahrain, commending the role of HM the King in bolstering relations and cooperation between the two friendly countries.

HM King Hamad also discussed with the Indian Minister regional and international issues of common concern.

He underlined the importance of international support to development and stability in Afghanistan as well as continuity to provide the needed humanitarian relief aid while taking into consideration the country’s faiths and values to ensure peace and stability in the region and the world.
