Royal humanitarian approach is lauded

Council of Representatives Speaker Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal has lauded His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s approach in the field of charity and humanitarian work. The Speaker cited HM the King’s pioneering civilisational projects and the distinguished initiatives that have contributed to enhancing Bahrain’s regional and international status, becoming a global role model for humanitarian work.

She affirmed that charitable work is deeply rooted in the Bahraini society, through the consolidation of the values of giving and solidarity among the members of the Bahraini society, on the one hand, and the establishment of charity funds in accordance with a well-thought-out institutional work, on the other.

In a statement marking the International Day of Charity, observed worldwide every September 5, Speaker Zainal praised the efforts of the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to achieve the Millennium Development Goals, and continuous endeavours to achieve Sustainable Development Goals, noting that Bahrain’s dedication in serving humanity and supporting sustainable development has earned it the respect of the world, and numerous awards.

The Speaker also paid tribute to the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF), led by HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, for its efforts to promote Bahrain’s long-standing values of giving, solidarity and charity, through its relief aid and humanitarian assistance to brotherly and friendly countries.
