Nass hails Bahraini press ‘pivotal role’

Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) Chairman Sameer Nass has praised the national press highlighting its pivotal role in the development of Bahrain and its people.

He commended the credibility and professionalism of the national press in covering events and happenings, mirroring the sentiment of the community, and documenting achievements, expressing pride in the freedom of press and expression in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the confidence Bahraini press earned.

This came as he received at his office the newly elected board of directors of Bahrain Journalists Association (BJA) presided over by its president, Isa Al Shaiji. Nass congratulated the newly elected president and board of BJA and wished them every success in achieving their goals.

He voiced pride in the close cooperation between BCCI and the press, which facilitated communication with the business community, authorities and officials and contributed to achieving its wgoals.

Al Shaiji commended the BCCI on its role in empowering the private sector and reinforcing economic development in the Kingdom. He touched upon the goals and aspirations of BJA, affirming its commitment to upgrading journalistic work to match Bahraini people’s high-level of awareness and education and to continue serving the society and defending the nation’s interests.
