HM King hails BDF efforts to deliver humanitarian relief aid to Afghanistan

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Supreme Commander and Supreme Defence Council (SDC) President, praised the Bahrain Defence Force’s keenness to answer the call of duty quickly and efficiently, earning it the acclaim of everyone.

HM the King made the remark as he chaired the SDC meeting held at Al Sakhir Palace yesterday. He commended the BDF’s noble and distinguished role and its efforts to deliver humanitarian relief aid to Afghanistan.

HM King Hamad also commended the continuous contributions of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF), led by HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, to provide urgent relief aid to Afghanistan, expressing thanks to all those who participated in the evacuation and relief operations and ensured their success.

HM the King stressed that such noble efforts reflect the keenness of the Kingdom, throughout its national history, to contribute, along with civilised countries, to endeavours aimed at achieving regional and global peace, which confirms its high civilised status among countries of the world.

HM the King, the Supreme Commander, commended the tremendous and fruitful efforts made by the BDF, Interior Ministry and the National Guard.

He praised their constant keenness to undertake their tasks with courage and unrelenting determination in order to protect the cherished nation and defend its gains.

National Security Advisor and Secretary-General of the Supreme Defence Council, Major-General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, briefed the Council on ways to boost defence, security and health capabilities.

The Council also discussed the topics on its agenda and took the necessary decisions regarding them for the sake of the security of the nation, the citizens and residents.
