Abraham Accords achievements highlighted on first anniversary

Bahrain's Ambassador to the US Shaikh Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalifa participated in a meeting organized by the Abraham Accords Institute for Peace in Washington, DC.
The UAE Ambassador Yousif Al Otaiba and the Israeli Ambassador Gilad Erdan also took part in the meeting, hosted by the President of the Abrahamic Accords Institute for Peace Jared Kushner and focused on the first anniversary of the signing of the Abraham Accords and the most important achievements and the progress made over the last year.
Shaikh Abdullah expressed his pride in the courageous step taken by Bahrain in signing the declaration supporting peace with Israel, within the framework of the Abraham Accords.
The initiative reflects the vision of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa that is based on the values of tolerance and coexistence.
The diplomat recalled his recent visit to the Jewish Synagogue in the Bahraini capital Manama where he sensed the culture of tolerance and peaceful coexistence among all segments of society in the Kingdom.
Major achievements during the first year of the declaration included signing 15 memoranda of understanding and four agreements in the political, economic, commercial, cultural and tourism fields, he added.
Shaikh Abdullah told the meeting he was looking forward to continuing to support efforts to bring peace to the region and contributing to fulfilling the aspirations of its peoples for security, stability and prosperity.
