Stage set for 48th Bahrain Annual Fine Arts Exhibition

The Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) has announced the opening of registration to participate in the 48th Bahrain Annual Fine Arts Exhibition.

Organisers will accept submissions from Bahraini artists residing in the Kingdom until December 1, 2021. The exhibition is scheduled to be held early next year at the Bahrain National Theatre. It focuses on the concept of beauty and its relationship to the artist and recipients.

The exhibition receives various creative works from different schools and artistic trends. Participants can submit all forms of artwork, including drawing, photography, graphic arts, video works and installation.

Artists applying for the exhibition must also meet a number of conditions and then obtain the final approval of the admission and screening committees. An applicant must not be less than 18 years old, and the works submitted must be original and the dimensions of the work should not exceed 2 x 2 x 2 metres.

The details of the submitted artwork must also be attached, including the materials used, dimensions and size, as well as any additional details related to the method of installation, such as lighting, electrical connections, or others.
