Boosting Bahrain’s banking and finance sector

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister has emphasised the importance of further strengthening the role of the Kingdom’s banking and finance sector, one of the key economic sectors that supports growth and attract investment.
His Royal Highness highlighted the Kingdom’s commitment to enhancing facilities that improve business opportunities and investments in line with the Kingdom’s comprehensive development, led by HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
This came as HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister yesterday received Elissar Farah Antonios, Citi Head of MENA Cluster and CEO Citi UAE, and Michel Sawaya, Citi Country Officer and Corporate Banking Head-Citi Bahrain, at Gudaibiya Palace.
HRH Prince Salman noted the Kingdom’s long-standing partnership with Citibank.
He wished Citibank’s new Global Technology Hub, launched in cooperation with Tamkeen and the Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB), success in achieving its goals, including providing quality job opportunities in the banking and technology sectors.
Antonios expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to meet with His Royal Highness and noted his support of the Kingdom’s enduring partnership with Citibank.
EDB Chief Executive Khalid Humaidan also attended the meeting.
