HM King Hamad receives legislative annual report

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa commended the dedicated efforts and great achievements of the Shura and Representatives Councils to serve the nation and citizens.

This came as HM the King received at Safriyah Palace yesterday Representatives Council Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal, Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh and their Deputies, who presented him with the councils’ annual report for the third session of the fifth legislative term.

His Majesty praised the active role of the legislative branch in backing development, promoting the democratic approach and boosting cooperation with brotherly and friendly countries.

He lauded the councils’ reports and the constructive ideas they contained to develop the legislative and monitoring performance and build on pivotal achievements. HM the King commended cooperation between the legislative and executive branches.

HM the King stressed keenness on further promoting economic and civilisational development and boosting cooperation with the rest of the world.

His Majesty affirmed keenness on serving the nation and boosting citizens’ welfare, praising the distinguished results brought about by the Bahraini people in various fields and in regional and international competitions.
