Public servant’s crush on teen girl lands him in jail
A 28-year-old public servant, who entered a house in Muharraq to give a teenage girl his phone number, has had his one-month jail term upheld. The defendant reportedly had a crush on the girl. He entered her house and gave her a paper containing his mobile number and a sentence, “I love you.. please call me.”
The 16-year-old girl told prosecutors that the defendant used to stand in front of her house just staring at her.
“When I returned home, I found him standing in front of our house door. I entered quietly, but he held my hand and gave me a paper and ran away,” the girl added.
