CPISP 2016 candidates selected

 The Crown Prince’s International Scholarship Programme (CPISP) announced the selection of candidates for its 2016 scholarships. It would begin training, in cooperation with the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF), starting June 27 till end of summer.

 CPISP Director Dr. Cynthia Gessling confirmed 70 candidates were selected out of 321 applicants who took the qualifying tests last April.

 Dr. Gessling said the candidates were selected based on their Grade Point Average and results of the qualifying tests, which included an English proficiency test in addition to critical reasoning assessment for verbal, numerical, and diagrammatical reasoning.

She added the candidates include students from private and governmental schools, besides qualifying students studying outside of Bahrain.

g stated the Candidacy training, which is part of the scholarship final selection criteria, will include a Critical Thinking course, leadership training, and preparation courses for the IELTS and SAT exams.

 To qualify for the Crown Prince’s 2016 scholarships, applicants must have Bahraini citizenship, a GPA of 97% or more, should be enrolled in the 11th grade and set to graduate from secondary school in 2016.
