Inspector-General briefed on services and facilities for welfare of inmates

Inspector-General, Major-General Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa was briefed yesterday about the situations of inmates and rehabilitation, education and training services provided to them.
He was also informed about handicraft courses organised for them, along with roundthe-clock comprehensive healthcare under the supervision of the Health Ministry.
The services and facilities are part of the implementation of the Reformation and Rehabilitation Organisations law. This came during a visit to the Reformation and Rehabilitation Centre in Jau where he met its Director-General, Brigadier Abdulsalam Al Oraifi, and officers.
He inspected the centre’s utilities and services, work operations, and preventive measures against COVID-19, including free and optional vaccination.
The Inspector-General met some inmates and checked their situations and the quality of services provided to them. He was presented with a commemorative gift they made at the vocational workshops of the centre.
He hailed the efforts of employees and thanked them for their hard work and dedication.
