HM King appoints University of Bahrain President

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa yesterday issued Royal Decree 102 of 2021, appointing Dr Jawaher Shaheen Al Mudhahki as President of the University of Bahrain (UoB) for a four-year term.

The Chairman of the UoB Board of Trustees shall implement the provisions of this decree, which takes immediate effect, and will be published in the Official Gazette.

HM the King issued Decree 105 of 2021 defining the competent authorities in accordance with Law 10 of 2006 regarding some tasks and competencies of the relevant authorities in oil and gas and the amendment of some provisions of Decree-Law 42 of 1999 on the establishment of Bahrain Petroleum Company.

The High Committee for Energy and Natural Resources shall be the competent authority stipulated in Article 1 of Law 10 of 2006 regarding some of the tasks and competencies of the authorities concerned with oil and gas and the amendment of some provisions of Decree-Law 42 of 1999 establishing the Bahrain Petroleum Company.

The Oil and Gas Holding Company shall be the competent authority stipulated in Article 2 of the same law.

The Prime Minister and ministers, each in their capacity, shall implement the decree which takes effect upon its issuance and publication in the Official Gazette.

HM the King issued Decree 103 of 2021 renewing the appointment of Dr. Meriam Adhbi Al Jalahma as Chief Executive of the National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA) for a tenure of three years.

The President of the Supreme Council of Health shall implement the decree which takes effect upon its issuance and promulgation in the Official Gazette.

His Majesty issued Royal Decree 104 of 2021, appointing Nabil Abdulhameed Abdulghani Al Shaikh as Assistant Undersecretary for Resources and Information at the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications (MTT).

The Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications shall implement the provisions of this decree, which takes immediate effect, and will be published in the Official Gazette.
