The Dar Aqua Company in Hoarat A’ali complies with the required standards for achieving a high accreditation for a healthy city in the field of fish farming and plant production to achieve food security. This was emphasised by Northern Governor Ali bin Shaikh Abdul Hussain Al Asfoor during his visit to Hoarat A’ali Centre for Agricultural Development.
Al Asfoor noted that the successful experience of Dar Aqua at the regional level to achieve food security deserves to be documented.
The documentation is being done in coordination between Dar Aqua and the National Centre for Agricultural Laboratories towards achieving the product standard specification, which constitutes an added value to the accreditation process by the World Health Organisation (WHO).
Al Asfoor toured the Hoarat A’ali Centre for Agricultural Development as part of the documentation visits to accredit A’ali as a healthy city, accompanied by the Deputy Governor, representatives of the people in the Coordinating Council, officials at the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning, coordinator of the Healthy Cities Programme, and the agricultural engineer, Ziba Al Amiru.
Aquaculture House General Manager Abdullah Al Fahal briefed everyone on the chain of production processes in his establishment, which is based on achieving quality production.
He stressed that the current production cases do not cover the market needs due to the demand for healthy food products.
After his visit, Al Asfoor stressed the importance of documenting the success experience of Dar Aqua, which has obtained several quality certificates, especially as it provides organic and healthy products that compete with the external product.
