Works Minister meets PM Fellowship programme candidates

Works Ministry employees who gained their acceptance to the seventh batch of the Prime Minister’s Fellowship programme received an audience with the Minister of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning.

Essam Khalaf congratulated Salman Hassan Al-Saati, Sawsan Ammar Mandeel, and Mohamed Khaled Noor during the meeting. Zahra Abdulla AlShamaa of Labour Fund (Tamkeen) and Saud Yusuf Tulefat of the Ministry of Finance and National Economy are the two other ac[1]cepted candidates.

The PM Fellowship Programme launched in 2015 mentors exceptional young Bahrainis from various government entities for a career in public service leadership.

Selected individuals will spend a year working as fulltime research fellows in the Prime Minister’s Office, benefiting from advanced training in writing skills, research methods and policy analysis, both in-house and through the Bahrain Institute of Public Administration.

Fellows will also benefit from the opportunity to interact with – and learn from – decision-makers at the highest levels of government.

Following this, ministries, where they will remain points of contact for the Prime Minister’s Office.

Khalaf wished the employees all success in the programme to serve the country and citizens. “The programme in the past years had demonstrated its success in preparing government employees with a high degree of efficiency,” said the minister.
