Ghazi Al-Gosaibi Secondary School creates UNESCO digital calendar

Ghazi Al-Gosaibi Secondary School for Girls announced creating an interactive UNESCO digital calendar having information on sustainable development goals and UNESCO days.
The project, the school said, links Sustainable Development goals and UNESCO World Day to enhance the learning process and raise awareness.
Ghazi Al-Gosaibi is part of the 97 Bahraini private and public schools affiliated with the Associated Schools Network of UNESCO - a global network of 11,500 educational institutions in 182 countries.
Member schools work for international understanding, peace, intercultural dialogue, sustainable development and quality education in practice.
Membership rests on a firm commitment by the school leadership and community to promote the ideals and values of UNESCO by reinforcing the humanistic, ethical, cultural and international dimensions of education.
UNESCO established ASPnet in 1953 to encourage schools worldwide to educate students on promoting peace and international understanding.
Education ministry joined the project in 2007, for which has Dr Lubna Khalifa Sulaibikh as National Coordinator of the UNESCO Associated Schools.
Schools have worked to activate “Education for Sustainable Development - Climate Change”, as the concept of sustainable development.
