Apply for Princess Sabeeka’s Productive Families award

Nominations are open for the 15th edition of the Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa award to encourage productive families.

The Ministry of Labor and Social Development said nominations are open for the award’s local and Arab versions (6th edition).

Her Royal Highness launched the award in support of productive families in 2007.

Later in 2009, the Arab Ministers of Social Affairs Council established an Arab version of the award.

Authorities will announce the winners in March 2022 in a ceremony held under the patronage of Her Highness Royal Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women.

Jameel Humaidan, the Labour and Social Development Minister, said the award would stimulate families to continue their contributions to creating a dignified economic and social life for their members.

“This also enhances creative competition among families, which would contribute to improving the quality of products and create new markets for them locally and in the wider Arab region,” the minister added.

The award is organised annually at the local level and once every two years at the Arab level.

This year, the award will be for best productive family, best product and best sponsor and supporter.

Accompanying the award ceremony will be an exhibition held for three days.
