Bahrain’s Anti-narcotic police yesterday foiled an attempt to smuggle two parcels containing 39,070 amphetamine pills (Captagon pills).
The General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Evidence coordinated the operation with the Customs Affairs and the Saudi General Directorate of Narcotics Control.
Police officers who found the amphetamine pills at the Bahrain International Airport immediately notified the Public Prosecution of the incident.
Public Prosecution, in a security-controlled operation, allowed officials to send the parcels to Saudi Arabia.
Officers then managed to arrest two suspects, who claimed the baggage at the Saudi Airport.
